Pre-Christmas Week

During the week before Christmas the kids and I had some fun. 

One of our activities was making paper ornaments.  Annie had her heart set on giving the girls in her dance class some sort of Christmas present, so this is what we came up with.  She and Logan worked hard to create them only to find out that her class was cancelled due to weather.  She was bummed, but it was still a fun activity.

We spent an entire day making Christmas cookies.  It was fun and exhausting!  I had the kids take turns helping me in the kitchen so that they didn't overwhelm me.  It worked much better than our usual method. 

Alex wanted to crack the eggs for the cookie batter, but it didn't work so well.  He cracked it and then accidentally dropped the whole thing in.  Everyone thought it was funny that he made a chocolate covered egg.

Another activity was paper snowflakes.  Alex claimed this one as his although he wouldn't even try to hold the scissors.  Silly guy.
