Annie's Dance Recital

Annie had her dance recital at the end of May.  It was so fun.

Here's her tap number.

Father/ Daughter Dance

At this point, Abby was getting really cranky, so Jim became the cameraman.  It was a long recital.

Jazz

She loved her teacher and had so much fun dancing this year!  We love our little ballerina!

Clean Up

One of our big projects this spring and summer has been cleaning up our property.  This building needed to go, so Jim demolished and burned the entire thing pretty much by himself.  (The kids and I helped a little.)

After, and now we have a nice patio area next to our fire pit.  :)

Friend Farewell

Some of our good friends are moving several states away.  :(  So we were happy to have the opportunity for their kids to spend a few days with us last month while they went house hunting.  We did a lot of fun things while they were here.

One afternoon it was too rainy to go out so we had a treasure hunt and some other games.  One of the games was the 'sock steal' game.  Two people play at a time.  Each person puts on two socks and then they try to pull the other person's socks off.  The blanket is the boundary.  Fun fun!

After our rainy day fun, I found both little boys asleep on different couches.

She was dressed like this almost the entire visit.  :)

One afternoon the kids picked a big bowl of mulberries so we could make jam.  Then we had the jam of waffles the next day.  Yum!

On Sunday morning the little girls both wanted princess hair.

I took eight kids swimming by myself one afternoon.  All of the ones facing the camera were with me.

We had a campfire and s'mores one night.

Yum!

This funny guy hauled this across the field so we could burn it.

We had fun with shaving cream two different days.

This is a 'shaving cream sandwich'.  Ha ha!

June Randomness

We found a couple of beautiful dresses on clearance for Annie recently.  She feels SO beautiful in this one.

Another 'princess' hair-do.

We turned our downstairs tub into a shower recently.

The kids left Jim this sweet message one afternoon.  "Welcume home Dad."

We've had some crazy weather complete with tornado warnings lately.  This cloud was really neat looking when it rolled in.

We went to a town festival recently.  Annie marched in the parade one night, and the next day we enjoyed some kids' activities.

Annie had her hair colored.

She also had her face painted while we watched a magician, juggler, and someone with live snakes.

Abby enjoyed climbing on Jim.

My Birthday

We celebrated my 32nd birthday last month.

The kids made homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches for my treat.  The treats were excellent, but the making of them was a little out of control.

To celebrate we had our treats and a campfire.  The following pictures of Abby are some of the best ever!

Looking cute and happy as can be...

Later she found some blackened wood and decided to sample it.

My parents sent me money for my birthday, so I bought myself a swimsuit cover-up and a family pool pass!  We've been having a lot of fun at the pool.  :)

Here are my attempts at multiple person poolside selfies.  :)
