Annie's Birthday
This amazing girl is 14! We celebrated as a family with donuts for breakfast, gifts, a movie, chicken cordon bleu for dinner, and some silliness. Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Seminary Fun
I became a seminary teacher this year and it's my favorite calling ever! I love teaching the youth so much! ❤
We had a fun Doctrinal Mastery game this week that involved throwing marshmallows at each other. 🤣

Vacation: Mississippi and Alex's Birthday
The last day of our trip was Alex's birthday, so he chose the entire day. He decided to check out another beach (Bay St. Louis in Mississippi) and explore a state park down the road.
We had fun hiking, catching crayfish, playing on the playground, and splashing at the beach. The beach was interesting because there were absolutely no waves, and it was wading depth for a huge distance. There were tons of jelly blobs as well which the kids enjoyed catching. Alex's final request was a stop at Sonic for milkshakes. We don't have Sonic in Iowa anymore, but we saw tons of them on our trip! He'd been craving a milkshake all week.

Vacation: Louisiana Gators
The kids talked and talked about alligators before our trip. They were fascinated at the idea of seeing them and simultaneously terrified that we'd encounter gators at our bayou house (we did see one). We knew we were truly in the south when we found gator heads for sale in a gas station.
So, of course, we had to tour a gator farm! This was so cool. The guide showed us live gators and let us touch them. We learned so much! We had our picture with a gator, and, since it was almost Alex's birthday, Alex got to catch baby gators.
