Watermelon Juice

We cut up a watermelon tonight only to discover that it was mushy and overripe. No one wanted to eat it, so I decided to see what would happen if I put it through the blender. Voila! Watermelon juice! The kids love it!

After the marching band competition, we explored the botanical garden in Dubuque. It was such a nice day and we really enjoyed ourselves.

We enjoyed watching Annie's marching band competition today. They did great!

Spoiled Pooch

Another funny dog post. This spoiled pooch also has an 'assigned' seat during school time. For devotionals, history, and science we always sit on the couch. The kids have assigned spots to prevent arguments. Well, Maui has decided he has one too, right between me and Abby! He won't sit anywhere else, even on my other side, and he bugs us until we make his little space between us. 🤣

Cross Country

Alex's final XC meet for the season! He really enjoyed trying this new sport this year.

Nature Walk

It was a beautiful day for a walk! We had fun exploring and these sweet kids even had an impromptu sing a long.

Before we left home, I suggested to Laurel that her shoes weren't a good choice for our walk, but she insisted. 30 minutes down the trail I noticed she was barefoot. "Mommy, my shoes are cutting my feet! But it's okay, I like being barefoot!" I guess it's a good thing that she runs around outside barefoot all the time. A barefoot nature walk didn't bother her at all! 🤣
