Pumpkin Carving

Last night we carved pumpkins for FHE.  Annie was a good sport about cleaning them out.

I carved this one.

Jim and Logan came up with this pirate.  Jim carved it.

Ta da!

September Catch Up

These are my final catch up pictures!

When we got home from our trip, I went grocery shopping, and was so excited about it that I took a picture!  Vacation is fun, and vacation junk food tastes great, BUT I'd had enough.  Ha ha!

We stopped at a park between errands on another day.  This little lady is on the go!

Pardon my blurry phone camera.

Another exciting September event was Logan's first Cub Scout activity.  He is thrilled to be part of the pack now.

Colorado Catch Up

I forgot to take my camera on our Colorado trip.  Then while we were on the trip, we cancelled our smart phones and bought a new basic phone.  SOO...my pictures from the second half of our trip were taken with my new phone, and it has taken me a while to finally load them onto the computer.  Finally, after much ado, here they are!

After the wedding our top priority was mountain fun.  We took a family hike one day, and ended up going much further than we'd initially anticipated.  We didn't want to stop!  Lack of water created necessity, though, so we reluctantly turned around.

Abby was nervous about being on Jim's shoulders at first, but she eased into it and enjoyed the hike as much as everyone else.

The kids loved hiking by a creek and finding this little waterfall.

Another day we met up with my dad in Pueblo to go to the zoo and out to lunch.  Logan has been talking about how much he loved the Golden Corral ever since.  Ha ha!

We met up with my dad a second time to hike the Blodgett Peak trail.  Here's our view from one point.

We hiked quite a distance that day, and probably could have made it to the top, but were short on time.

Alex stuck with his Papa the whole hike.

On our final day in Colorado we visited the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (which is also on a mountain).

While at the zoo we drove up to the Will Rogers' Shrine, and then climbed to the top.

We stopped to play in the kids' area at the zoo.

This is a random picture of Abby from before the wedding.  My mom found some tutus for her at Goodwill, so we had fun dressing her up.

We also had a couple of brief visits to Garden of the Gods.  Logan is in this picture.

Annie and Alex are off in the distance in this picture.

Sweet Abby stayed close.

Our second brief visit to Garden of the Gods was in the evening.  So we ended up taking a little night hike to Siamese Twins.  Check out my phone's 'night vision'.  LOL

Our final bit of fun was a play date with several friends at the park.  As you can see, the grown ups had fun too.  :)

Mom's Wedding

The purpose of our trip to Colorado last month was to attend my mom's wedding.  I forgot to bring a camera, but thankfully she sent us lots of pictures.  Here's a portion of them.

Abby looks like she is trying to fly out of my arms.

I think this picture is hilarious in a 'not-intended' kind of way.

My kids warmed up later on at the reception and had a great time with this fun group.

This little stud was repeatedly threatened with 'no wedding cake' if he didn't pose for pictures.  Then we had to warn him that a spider was going to poop on his lip if he didn't smile.  Thankfully, I didn't have to withhold wedding cake; I think that spider got him a few times, though.
