Colorado Family Time

We went to Colorado for my family's annual ski trip last month. Since the girls would be missing school, we had to make it a shorter trip than usual. We only had a couple of days that weren't part of the actual ski trip, but we crammed a LOT of great visiting in on those days!

We had a fun family gathering at Alan's. We laugh so much when we all get together. It's awesome.

We had another family gathering at my dad's. He just bought a cabin in the mountains and everyone was excited to see his new place and his property. Josh took the kids out driving in the snow.

The kids also played in the snow while the adults stayed warm inside.

We also saw Jim's brother, Terrance, one evening. It was so good to visit with him and his wife. I forgot to take a picture, though.

Jim and Annie went to Loveland for a ski lesson one day, so Alan took the rest of us on an adventure in Denver. We rode the light rail and then the mall buses to visit a fire museum.

We had a lot of fun at the museum.

We squeezed in one really quick visit with some friends, and then it was time for the ski trip!

5th Grade Camp

Since Annie is in public school this year, she had the opportunity to go to an overnight trip with the other 5th graders. I went with her as a parent volunteer. It was crazy exhausting and lots of fun.

Even though there was little snow, we cross country skiied. It was more like sliding across frozen leaves, but it was a good activity for the kids.

We were outside most of the time, so there was lots of walking.

We arrived home the evening of the second day completely exhausted! Good times.
