More July Stuff

Chicken noodle soup made with love.

We had fun at the Summer Soul parade.

Cute girls matching for church.

4th of July

When I was a kid, I was jealous of the people who lived right next to the park where they did the big fireworks shows. So I was pretty excited that we're now those people! We hosted a big party this year and it was so fun!

Touch the Temple

We made it down to the temple this month. It was a quick trip because we hurried home afterward, but it's always so great to serve in the temple!

Friends

Abby and her friend, Kyrie, are two peas in a pod. They went to kindergarten together, but didn't really start spending time together until later. We kept randomly running into each other in public places after that year, and their friendship grew. This year they danced together, went to each other's church activities, enjoyed some holidays together, had play dates, and have even had some waterpark time this summer.

July Stuff

Some selfie silliness

We've had fun bringing friends to the waterpark with us this summer. I mostly forget to take pictures, though.

Annie and her friend were surprised to see that they were wearing matching swimsuits!

Having a picnic on another day at the waterpark.

Brig Says

"Mom, I'm wearing some glasses that fit me."

"This is my clown nose."

"I'm a pirate!

"Mom, you're pretty. I have a pretty mommy!" *thoughtful pause* "What happens if you mix pretty and ugly?"

Brig randomly, "Don't build a tower to Jesus. Or a ladder. Or else He'll change your voice."

"You know what would break my little spirit? Kindergarten. Cause kindergarten is public school. That would break my little spirit."
(He overheard me talking in a homeschool meeting. I'd made the comment that I was grateful to homeschool him because he's such a busy talkative little boy and I didn't think he'd do well having to sit still and be quiet in a traditional classroom. Apparently, he's also good at eavesdropping! Oops!)
